🌸 Self-Care Saturday: Reclaiming

My Time
Welcome back to Self-Care Saturday with TeePow Cosmetics.
This space has always been about honest moments — the real kind of self-care that doesn’t always look perfect or polished. Sometimes it’s messy, sometimes it’s quiet, and sometimes it’s simply about finding yourself again after giving so much to everyone else. Today’s post is a gentle reminder that caring for yourself isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity.
It’s been a while since I’ve written a Self-Care Saturday post.
If I’m honest, for most of the past year, I’ve struggled to find the focus to give myself that care. And I know I’m not alone in that. So many of us — especially mothers, women, and people juggling busy lives — find it almost impossible to carve out that moment of stillness. The world moves fast, and we’re constantly expected to keep up. Somewhere in the noise, we get lost.
Today, I’m choosing to be me again.
I’m not trying to be everything to everyone. Not today.
Not every day has to revolve around others — even though it often feels like it does. Sometimes self-care is about remembering that your time is your time. It isn’t selfish. It’s survival.
Self-care isn’t about neglecting others; it’s about refuelling yourself so you can show up better — calmer, stronger, and more grounded. It’s about giving yourself permission to pause before life demands more from you than you have left to give.
So this Self-Care Saturday, I’m doing exactly that.
I’ll get a few things done this morning — a little work, a bit of shopping for the house — but after that, it’s about me. I’m going to get ready, feel good, and later I’ll go out for a drink with my friend to celebrate her birthday. I’ll laugh, unwind, and let my hair down. I’ll enjoy the moment without the guilt of thinking I should be doing something for someone else.
Because life isn’t about constantly giving until you’re empty.
It’s about finding joy, balance, and those small moments that remind you who you are beneath all the roles you play.
So here’s to a new kind of Self-Care Saturday — one that’s real, unfiltered, and completely mine.
